Frostforge Development Update — Campaign Progress up to The Stockades
Staff Reply
Frostforge Development Update

A lot of progress has been made on the first part of the Frostforge Classic Lore Campaign.

Frostforge is being built around one core idea:

Dungeons should not feel like isolated instances. They should feel like chapters in Azeroth’s story.

Instead of rushing from dungeon to dungeon, players follow short lore-driven questlines that explain why each dungeon matters, who is involved, and how the events connect to the larger world.

What is finished so far?

The first campaign arc is now playable up to The Stockades.

Current completed flow:
Starter setup
→ Ragefire Chasm
→ Wailing Caverns
→ Deadmines
→ The Stockades
This includes:

Starter experience
New players are introduced to the Frostforge campaign structure and the basic server systems.

Ragefire Chasm
The campaign begins with hidden corruption beneath Orgrimmar and introduces the idea that the world is already breaking beneath the surface.

Wailing Caverns
The story moves toward Naralex, the Emerald Dream, and the corruption spreading through the Barrens.

Deadmines
Players are pulled into the Defias rebellion and the consequences of Stormwind’s failures.

The Stockades
The Defias storyline continues into Stormwind itself, showing that the conflict is not finished when VanCleef falls.

Supporting systems

Several supporting systems are also now working:
FusionCMS website
Frostforge custom theme
Account registration
How to Play guide
Roadmap page
Systems page
FusionCMS-native forum
Forum categories
Sticky and locked posts
Staff blue posts
Topic moderation
Playerbots support information
The forum is now integrated directly into the Frostforge website, so players can use their normal Frostforge account. No separate forum account is needed.

What I need now

Frostforge is at the point where feedback matters more than theory. I am looking for people who want to help test the campaign and improve the writing.

Testers wanted

I need players who are willing to run through the current campaign flow and give feedback on:
Quest flow
Dungeon pacing
Story clarity
NPC dialogue
Travel steps
Playerbot usability
Bugs or broken objectives
Confusing moments
You do not need to be a developer. Just playing through the content and reporting what feels good, broken, unclear or boring is already useful.

Quest writers wanted

I am also looking for people who enjoy Warcraft lore and want to help write short questlines between dungeons.

The writing style should be:
Short
Clear
Lore-friendly
Dungeon-focused
Not too custom or over-the-top
Useful for guiding the player to the next chapter
The goal is not to rewrite Warcraft completely. The goal is to connect existing dungeons with enough story context that the journey feels intentional.

Current writing focus

The next phase is improving and expanding the Classic dungeon campaign after The Stockades.

Upcoming areas include:
Shadowfang Keep
Blackfathom Deeps
Gnomeregan
Razorfen Kraul
Scarlet Monastery
Razorfen Downs
Uldaman
Zul’Farrak
Maraudon
Sunken Temple
Blackrock Depths
Stratholme
Scholomance
Blackrock Spire
How to help

If you want to help test, play through the campaign and post feedback in:
Campaign Feedback
Bug Reports
Playerbots & Help
If you want to help write quests, post in:
Suggestions
Campaign Feedback
or contact me directly.

Frostforge is still early, but the foundation is now real.

The first chapters are playable, the website is live, the forum works, and the campaign structure is taking shape.

Now the next step is testing, polishing, and writing better quest bridges so the journey through Azeroth feels like one connected campaign.
