You need a clean compatible 3.3.5a client to play on Frostforge. Other client versions may not connect correctly.

If you already have a clean compatible 3.3.5a client, you can skip directly to step 2 and update your connection settings.

01 Prepare a Compatible Client

Frostforge does not currently host its own full client download. Use a clean compatible 3.3.5a client from a trusted community source.

One commonly used community source is ChromieCraft. After preparing the client, make sure you replace the connection settings with the Frostforge settings below.

Client downloads are large. Make sure you have enough disk space to download and extract the client.

02 Update Connection Settings

Open your compatible client folder and find the connection settings file.

For most English clients, it is located here:

Data\enUS\realmlist.wtf

If your client uses another locale, the folder may be different:

Data\enGB\realmlist.wtf
Data\deDE\realmlist.wtf
Data\frFR\realmlist.wtf

Open realmlist.wtf in a text editor and replace the full contents with:

set realmlist frostforge.nl

Save the file before starting the game.

03 Create Your Account

Create a Frostforge account on the website. The username and password you create here are used to log in.

04 Launch the Game

Do not use a launcher that may update the client to another version. Start the game directly from the client folder.

Log in with your Frostforge account credentials, select the Frostforge realm, create your character, and begin the campaign.

What happens in-game?

Frostforge is a guided fantasy campaign. Instead of rushing from dungeon to dungeon, you follow short campaign quests that explain where you are going and why each dungeon matters.

Campaign quest

→ turn-in
→ next chapter

Recommended AddOns

AddOns are optional, but the Recommended Campaign Pack includes useful tools for the Frostforge campaign, including dungeon tools, inventory improvements, UI helpers and Frostforge Bot Control.

If you cannot connect, check the following:

• Are you using a clean compatible 3.3.5a client?
• Did you update the connection settings to frostforge.nl?
• Are you starting the game directly, without a launcher that updates the client?
• Are you logging in with your account name instead of your email address?
• Did you fully close the game before changing the connection settings?
